Deepening the Practice of Information Architecture - IA 103

Curating Information Architecture skills doesn’t happen overnight, it takes practice. Once you understand the systems to organize, label, navigate, and model environments that exceed customer and business expectations, it helps to deepen your understanding by analyzing real-life applications, and then extending your practice through in-depth immersive practice.

Prerequisite 

This is a five-workshop series, three hours each.

Completing “Introduction to Information Architecture - IA 101” and “Visualizing Information Architecture - IA 102” is required for this course.

Visualizing Information Architecture - IA 102

Creating information environments where people can easily find and use what they need to meet their goals, isn’t magic. There are systems you use to organize, label, navigate, and model environments that exceed customer and business expectations. That’s where the next level of Information Architecture comes in.

Prerequisite 

This is a five-workshop series, three hours each. Completing “Introduction to Information Architecture - IA 101” is required for this course.

Introduction to Information Architecture - IA 101

Information is the material we consume in digital and physical spaces. Understanding how to organize it based on human mental models and behavior is essential to creating a sense of place in all of our information environments. To gain this understanding, we turn to Information Architecture.

Prerequisite 

This is a five-workshop series, three hours each. No previous experience is needed, but basic business experience is desired.

By leveraging data in a meaningful way, the story of Walmart's success tops the financial charts year after year. A variety of use cases will be explored during this exciting talk and a the story of how a visionary approach to crafting data-driven practices that stand the test of time will be told.

G-Suite Automation

Automate and trigger events with Google Office suite.
Lev Tsenovoy will give a demonstration on Google Scripts and share a few use cases where the automation can really help you save time and efforts, for example creating an auto-responses to recruiters and keep track of job applications and communication.

Come prepared: make sure you have your GMail account ready!
Some experience with JS (java script) is highly recommended - Lev will show how to apply it to G-Suite applications.
