Info session for youth & parents to learn about Newburgh Girls Code Club's Immersive Summer Camp at the Newburgh Free Library this July.

WHAT IS NEWBURGH GIRLS CODE CLUB'S IMMERSIVE SUMMER CODE CAMP?

Newburgh Girls Code Club (NGCC) Immersive Summer Code Camp is a 2-week intensive in- person & virtual coding bootcamp designed to close the gender gap in tech. Over 10 full week- days, you’ll explore how Computer Science can change the world in a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models. You’ll make friends; practice fun, online coding tutorials; identify issues you care about in your community and design real solutions to address them through code.

Who Is This Course For? 

We invite all girls & nonbinary youth, beginners & masters, ages 10-18, regardless of school status, who lives in Newburgh, NY or around.

What Will You Learn? 
You’ll build the skills you need to make an impact! A professional Coder will guide you through creating designs, animations, games, apps, websites, and other inventions. You’ll practice coding languages such as Scratch, Python, HTML / CSS, JavaScript, Thunkable, and VidCode; engage in empowerment workshops in the NFL garden; get inspired by innovative women in tech; and help to launch NGCC’s first ever podcast.
