We are planning for two 30 min talks, Q&A and networking to follow.

  1. Solid DevOps in Action intro by Nicholas AbbruzzeseFinOps Engineer at Mosaic.co
  2. Using Open Source to provide sustainable business for developers - by Startup founder Adam de Delva, the founder of DTR, is working to build with community leaders the forge of open innovation. DTR is at the intersection of Open Source Crowd Funding via: Smart Contracts, and OSS ecosystem development & PaaP (Platform as a product) a consumable BOM to deliver a production ready hybrid cloud & AI platform at the edge or in public cloud environments scaling to thousands of nodes.

The focus of this meeting is DevOps - what is it and what does it take to get there, and new opportunities in the era of AI and bitcoins.

DevOps is a cultural and technical movement centered on the improvement of the software development life cycle. Typical goals of a DevOps practice are increased code quality, decreased deployment and integration times, and elimination of anti-patterns that lower productivity and product quality. This talk will delve into the core principles of DevOps, explore essential tools and technologies, showcase real-world success stories, and discuss how you can apply DevOps to your use cases."

The first 30 minute talk by Nicholas Abbruzzese will cover:
1. The Core Principles of DevOps

  • Define DevOps and its key principles (collaboration, automation, continuous delivery, etc.)
  • Explain how DevOps differs from traditional software development
  • Discuss the benefits of adopting a DevOps culture

2. Practical DevOps Tools and Technologies

  • Overview of popular DevOps tools
  • Demonstrates typical use case
  • How to choose the right tools for the job

3. DevOps for Security (DevSecOps)

  • Explain the importance of integrating security into the DevOps pipeline
  • Discuss tools and techniques for automating security testing and vulnerability scanning

  • 2 case studies, medium depth
  • Discuss the challenges they faced and how they overcame them

5. Open Discussion / Q&A

  • Follow up on any topics as in depth as the attendees want
