Logic & Problem-Solving in Python

In this course, you will learn how about the control structures that are needed to create algorithms and apply algorithmic reasoning to specific programming problems. Specifically, when addressing a specific programming problem, you will learn what algorithm to use and why.

Coding Club: February 2022

Please note - we are switching to new format of the Coding Clubs.

1. We will be meeting second Tuesday of the month, 6-7:30 pm.

2. We will have a quick Intro at the beginning, but we want to do some hands-on practice using Code Wars.

An algorithm is a finite sequence of well-defined instructions, typically used to solve a class of specific problems or to perform a computation. Algorithms are used as specifications for performing calculations, data processing, automated reasoning, automated decision-making and other tasks.

Relational Database Design for Beginners

Relational databases are systems that organize data into very logical tables, much like a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Systems are built around tables, columns, and unique keys to access that data stored in rows using a database access language called Structured Query Language (SQL).

Game Development for Beginners

Intro to video Game Development.

In this course, students will learn about the fundamentals of game design. Topics covered will include the structure of a videogame, the stages of the design process, principles of gameplay and core mechanics, game balancing, and level design. Students will use Python and Pygame to develop high end video games.

Creating an Efficient Web Presence: domain names, hosting, CMS

Making Tech Easy: Domain Names, Subdomains, Hosting... All the noodly things about getting a website or landing page properly set up.

This is a free introductory remote class on November 23rd in partnership with Newburgh Free Library.

We want this class to be full of time-saving, mood-improving tips and tricks that entrepreneurs really want to know. If you are a techie, you will still learn a few things and discover new perspectives / best practices.
