Newburgh Girls Coding Club in Newburgh - Info Session

Newburgh Girls Coding Club (NGCC) is youth leadership development after school program focused on educating young women on coding and the career opportunities that come with STEM learning, based on the Girls Who Code curriculum. 

NGCC meets Wednesdays throughout the fall (September 25, 2019 until December 18, 2019) from 4-6 pm at the Newburgh Free Library's main branch, located at 124 Grand Street, in the city of Newburgh. 

To learn more about this program, we strongly encourage you to attend one of our info sessions at:
-- the Newburgh Free Library's TOWN branch, located in the Newburgh Mall (1401 NY-300), on Wednesday, August 21st, from 6-7 pm, or 
-- the Newburgh Free Library's MAIN branch on Wednesday, September 11, from 6-7 pm.

Who Is This Course For? 

All youth ages 10-18, regardless of school status, are invited to apply for the Fall 2019 cohort. Girls and boys are welcome

What Will You Learn? 
In this club, you will learn: -- What is computer science and computer scientists? -- Writing code  -- Pair programming -- How computers can be used to create new technology -- You'll try on a bunch of different hats, like Designer, Problem Solver, and Coder
