NEWBURGH, New York, August 8, 2019: Mount Saint Mary College is partnering with Open Hub to host Day Two of Open Hub’s inaugural Hudson Valley Tech Festival in Newburgh, New York. The Hudson Valley Tech Festival will be held at SUNY Orange on October 11, 2019, and Mount Saint Mary College on October 12, 2019. The two-day event will demonstrate how a growing technology industry will spur economic growth throughout the region, and strengthen relationships between employers, educators, skilled professionals, new graduates, and students.
“Our mission includes showcasing local technology businesses and talent, facilitating job creation, and driving innovation. The first day of the Hudson Valley tech Festival will be hosted by SUNY Orange in Newburgh. Day-One will include speakers, panel sessions and lightning talks in a conference-like setting. Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh is hosting the second day which will be more interactive featuring workshops, exhibits, and a Hackathon in their spacious Kaplan Hall. “We’re fortunate to have both schools participating and contributing in this way, and participants will benefit even more by learning about what’s available at these two venues,” said Dr. Ovchinnikova.
Sessions will cover the latest developments in technology such as open data, cloud, cybersecurity, web development, and the Internet of Things. The event will highlight industries and technology activities relevant to our region including education, civic tech, and creative services.
